Terms of Service

Last updated: 26/07/2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using DigitalPhotoPassport ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our service.

2. Service Description

DigitalPhotoPassport generates digital passport and ID photos using automated image processing, checked against the official guidelines for UK documents — HM Passport Office passports, DVLA driving licences, and Home Office residence cards. UK documents only at launch. Our compliance check is thorough, but acceptance decisions rest with the issuing authority — which is why every order is covered by the acceptance guarantee in section 4.

3. User Obligations

  • You must provide a clear, accurate photo of yourself.
  • You must not submit photos of anyone other than yourself without consent.
  • The service currently supports adult photos only — baby and child photos are not yet supported.
  • You are responsible for ensuring your photo meets the specific requirements of the authority receiving it.

4. Payments, Refunds & Acceptance Guarantee

All prices are charged in GBP and include VAT. Every photo is covered by our acceptance guarantee: if the official issuing office rejects a photo you bought from us due to a compliance failure on our part, email the rejection notice to us within 60 days and we will refund double what you paid. Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5 working days. See our Returns & Refunds policy for full details.

5. Photo Storage & Deletion

Original and processed photos are automatically deleted from our servers after 24 hours. We do not retain copies beyond this period.

6. Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to your uploaded photos. We grant you a perpetual licence to use the processed photos we generate for your personal ID applications.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, and except for refunds due under the acceptance guarantee in section 4, DigitalPhotoPassport's total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service. We are not liable for delays, rejections, or costs incurred due to third-party processing.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the United Kingdom.
